On 10th June, we hosted our latest stakeholder roundtable at TEP Birmingham, bringing together leaders from industry, academia, local government, and the clean technology sector to discuss the next phase of growth and collaboration across East Birmingham.
Representatives from organisations including West Midlands Growth Company, West Midlands Combined Authority, The Children’s Book Project, Energy Systems Catapult, Hemiko, Gravis, Ryse Energy, Hygen Energy, Voltempo, Hy-Met and Recognition Circular joined the discussion, reinforcing our unique network of organisations all working towards a cleaner and greener future.
Key highlights
A key outcome of the roundtable was agreement to establish the Green Gasses Group at TEP Birmingham. The new forum will bring together organisations active across hydrogen production, clean gas infrastructure, energy distribution, and industrial decarbonisation to identify collaboration opportunities and accelerate project development.

The roundtable also heard about plans to expand onsite magnet recycling activities within Phase 5 of Tyseley Energy Park.
The proposed scale-up will strengthen domestic capabilities in recovering critical materials from end-of-life products and manufacturing waste streams, supporting the UK’s ambitions around resource security and circular economy development.
The project aligns closely with the wider circular economy vision for Tyseley and complements the activities of organisations already operating across resource recovery, clean energy, and sustainable manufacturing sectors.

Participants also heard from Voltempo, which presented its vision for creating an Autonomous Vehicle Hub in Tyseley. Building on the area’s strengths in clean energy, transport innovation, and industrial infrastructure, the proposal would create opportunities for testing, deployment and commercialisation of next-generation mobility technologies.
Building the Future Together
This roundtable followed a strategic meeting held on 9th June with Joanne Roney , Managing Director of Birmingham City Council, and Ed Cox, Chief Executive of the West Midlands Combined Authority.
Discussions explored how public and private sector partners can work together to unlock investment, improve infrastructure, and accelerate the transformation of Tyseley into a nationally significant clean technology, innovation and industrial decarbonisation district.
The primary purpose of our roundtable events is to promote cross-sector collaboration opportunities across the clean energy, waste, transport, and circular economy sectors. By bringing together organisations such those in attendance, our forum continues to foster meaningful partnerships that can translate ideas into investment and delivery.
As we develop our masterplan and expand our ecosystem of innovative businesses and partners, the shared ambition remains clear: to attract further investment, support business growth, create high-quality jobs, and establish Tyseley as one of the UK’s leading destinations for green technology, clean energy, and industrial innovation.
