More About the CIP Programme
The CIP is a structured incubation programme accelerating ambitious cleantech and low-carbon businesses at TEP Birmingham. Supported by HSBC UK, it combines grant funding, dedicated business support and access to academic and industry expertise to help founders move from early traction to scalable growth.
Each business works closely with an experienced incubation manager, receiving tailored support across market strategy, IP, customer validation and funding pathways. Participants also access workspace at TEP Birmingham, alongside connections to the University of Birmingham research and Energy Systems Catapult network – a practical ecosystem support designed to accelerate scale.
Since 2021, the CIP has supported over 80 climate-focused SMEs, helping them raise investment, create jobs and secure commercial partnerships across the UK.
